Drumlin Wind Energy Co-operative Have Successfully Been Shortlisted In The Action Renewables Association Awards!!! NORTHERN IRELAND’S MOST INNOVATIVE COMPANIES SHORTLISTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS ‘GREEN’ AWARDSThe shortlist of finalists to be considered for one of Northern Ireland’s most prestigious ‘green’ awards has been released this week and features an impressive list of organisations, schools, and initiatives from across the country working to promote innovation and sustainability in the renewable energy sector. The Action Renewables Association Awards, now in their fifth year, are sponsored by Tughans Solicitors and recognise excellence and reward innovation by companies in Northern Ireland.

Best Training Provider: North West Regional College, Derry; Transport Training Services, Crumlin and the Northern Regional College, Ballymena.
Best Renewable Export Company sponsored by Action Renewables: Alternative Heat Ltd, Castlewellan and Dimplex Renewables, Craigavon.

The experts at Action Renewables shortlisted finalists earlier this month along with a team of judges including Norman Apsley, CEO of Northern Ireland Science Park and Jim Kitchen who works with the Soil Association and is a visiting professor at the University of Ulster.
Speaking on behalf of the judges, Michael Doran, Director of Action Renewables said; “We had a superb response to the awards again this year and the standards just keep getting better. It is wonderful to see so many worthwhile renewable energy and sustainability initiatives being implemented throughout Northern Ireland, and our awards play a key part in recognising these projects and rewarding the companies and individuals behind them. We were also delighted to see a number of new companies from both the public and private sectors entering this year, which further demonstrates the level of commitment that local businesses are showing to the development of the ‘green’ sector in Northern Ireland, and we look forward to celebrating their success at the event. ”
